Prince William Visit

Prince William Visits Hideaway Youth Project to Unveil Commitment to Reduce Youth Violence in Manchester

We were honoured to welcome The Prince of Wales to The Hideaway Youth Project in Moss Side as part of his visit to Manchester. His Royal Highness announced a£100,000 funding commitment to reduce youth violence and improve opportunities for young people across the city.

This funding supports a collaborative initiative between The Royal Foundation, the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, and local businesses, focusing on a new youth employment, skills, and training programme.

The programme will also work alongside the Manchester Peace Together Alliance, of which Hideaway Youth Project is a lead partner, continuing the efforts to reduce violence and create opportunities for young people.

During the visit, Prince William spoke with young people and families affected by youth violence, as well as youth workers, about the critical work being done to support those in our communities.
