The Hideaway Youth Project’s Sports Programme is all about building fitness, friendships, and inclusive communities through year-round sports. We offer a range of activities, including football, basketball, self-defense, and boxercise, creating a space where young people can stay active, build confidence, and develop important life skills.
Our weekly sports sessions are designed to improve fitness, teamwork, and self-discipline, helping young people stay active in a supportive environment. Through sport, we promote both physical and mental well-being, reducing stress and boosting self-esteem. Our sessions create an inclusivespace where young people can connect, communicate, andbreak down cultural barriers, building friendships and socialintegration. By encouraging positive lifestyle habits, we also help to reduce antisocial behaviour and isolation, empowering young people to make positive lifestyle choices.

Sport is more than just physical activity—it’s a powerful tool for building confidence, leadership, and resilience. By taking part in regular sports activities, young people become part of a supportive community where they can have fun, feel valued and develop not just their sporting skills, but life skills!
